Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Enhances Security Surveillances With SHANY IP Cameras
As the largest airport in Taiwan, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is also the thirteenth-busiest airport by international passenger traffic in 2012. The installation of 200 units of 3.0 Megapixel Wide Dynamic Range IP Box Camera (SNC-WD2301M), 138 units of 3.0 Megapixel Wide Dynamic Range IP Indoor Dome Camera (SNC-WD2302) and 30 units of Speed Dome Camera Controllers (MCU-PTZ071) is mainly set up in Terminal 2, including customs zone, check-in counters, security checkpoints, airport shuttle bus stops, departure lobby, arrival lobby, taxi way and etc.
Comparing to the previous installed analog cameras, SNC-WD2301M and SNC-WD2302 are equipped with 1 / 2.8" Sony 3.0 Megapixel Progressive Exmor? CMOS Sensor and provide much clearer images, not only reaching 2048(H)x1536(V)(QXGA) resolution, but also allowing airport staff to identify passengers’ faces and features more easily than before. Due to the high loss rate at the security checkpoints, security officers often retrieve video footage of the checkpoint processing, go to the departure counter and identify the person who lost the item, and find that person before he or she boards the plane. “Shany’s cameras facilitate the whole process” said by Aviation Police Officer.
The SNC-WD2301M features low light illumination 0.1 Lux in color mode and true day & night ICR (Mechanical IR Cut Filter), therefore, it has excellent performance in low-light environment. This helps the monitoring of taxiway and shuttle bus stop to prevent foreseeing emergencies in night time. In addition, Shany’s cameras are easily installed, easily set-up and easily integrated with other IP surveillance system.
