HID Global Drives Innovation in Logical Access Solutions for Key Vertical Markets at Identity Access Management 2010

HID Global, trusted leader in solutions for the delivery of secure identity, today announced it will showcase the latest advances and offerings in logical access at this week’s Identity & Access Management 2010. In addition to demonstrating its broad portfolio of products, Ranjit Nambiar, Director of Sales, South Asia, will present the growing demand for converged security and the arising opportunities, followed by a live demonstration of the company’s two factor authentication and logical security solutions by Alan Cham, Solutions Manager of Logical Access, Asia Pacific.

HID Global will showcase its extensive suite of products and technologies for secure identity-related applications at the Hotel Grand Hyatt on 21 July. Key HID Global demonstrations at Identity Access Management 2010 include:

Genuine HID Credential Solutions: Booth displays will highlight high-quality, Genuine HID technology contactless and contact smart cards and Crescendo cards that enable users to seamlessly manage multiple applications and migration projects through a single credential containing diverse technologies.
? HID on the Desktop?: HID on the Desktop allows organizations to leverage existing physical access cards to deploy an additional layer of security using smart card technology. As a three-component solution – Genuine HIDTM contact and contactless smart cards, readers and credential management software – HID on the Desktop provides corporate enterprises and government agencies with the flexibility to deploy the most “risk-appropriate” authentication solution based on their unique security requirements.

During an Identity Access Management 2010 track session, HID Global will discuss the latest trends in access control solutions and the growing demand for converged security solutions.

? Ranjit Nambiar, Director of Sales South Asia, will present “Converged Security: Trends and Opportunities”, where he will discuss trends in technological convergence and the emerging opportunities of IP based products and IT security solutions. He will also explore the benefits and considerations of implementing logical access solutions in an enterprise. This track session presentation will be held from 10:45 am – 11:00am on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Hotel Grand Hyatt.

Alan Cham, Solutions Manager of Logical Access, Asia Pacific, will present “Two Factor Authentication and Logical Security Solutions”, where he will illustrate how to use a single card for two-factor authentication to secure data on IT networks and PCs, as well as secure physical access to facilities through a live demonstration. This track session presentation will be held from 11:00 am to 11:15 am on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Hotel Grand Hyatt.
