Euresys s.a., Angleur, Belgium, 28 September 2010 - Euresys extends the functionalities and its offer of the Picolo H.264 high-quality capture and H.264 compression cards. The Picolo U4 H.264, the Picolo U8 H.264 and the Picolo U16 H.264 respectively feature 4, 8, and 16 video input channels along with audio capability. The new software release for the Picolo U4/U8/U16 H.264 extends the cards capability to output three streams per video input: two compressed streams and one raw uncompressed stream. To fit any surveillance application, the possible settings of these output streams are completely independent. For example, one high-fidelity 4CIF-format full-frame-rate H.264-compressed stream can be used for high-quality recording on hard disks. An additional CIF-format half-frame-rate H.264-compressed stream can be transmitted over networks and the third raw (uncompressed) stream can be dedicated to real-time display and video analytics.
These PCI Express cards are equipped with 4, 8 or 16 high-quality audio inputs as well as 8, 16 or 32 I/O lines.
The Picolo H.264 cards come with simple and convenient standard-based Windows and Linux drivers. New connecting accessories such as breakout cables with BNC or RCA connectors, adapters or a link for internal connectors are now available for immediate evaluation of the cards. The Picolo H.264 cards are easy to use and are quickly integrated into any video surveillance application.
