During voting for the "asmag.com 2018 Buyers' Choice Awards", 12 products stood out from all nominees in the Access Control category, gaining the most votes from anonymous security buyers and systems integrators.

The winners can be roughly sorted into two subgroups: those equipped with biometric technologies for access control and identity recognition, and locking and door-control systems with scalability to integrate with building control systems.

Smart locks and keys, especially wireless ones, have also proved popular in the security industry. With remote control abilities, locks and door controllers that can be managed wherever and whenever are making access control a lot easier in both small rental properties and large complexes. In some large buildings with more than a hundred access points, these integrated systems can greatly reduce the strain on management.
