- The BioVault 2.0 is a sophisticated, highly engineered piece of electronic equipment that has been designed to grant an extremely high level of accuracy in the fingerprint-authentication process as well as a high degree of reliability and dependability. Components and software have been rigorously tested; there are no consumer serviceable parts. The BioVault 2.0 retains all fingerprints in the event of total power loss. Once power is restored by either inserting new batteries or when electricity is restored to the A/C adapter, the unit functions as it did before the power loss. The BioVault 2.0 has been designed to be very sensitive when authenticating and matching fingerprints. The unit will open with fingerprints that have increased moisture from after an average shower or swim. There may be times when extreme water retention due to extended time in the water will cause minute aspects of fingerprints to change for short times and access via BioVault 2.0 may be denied until fingerprints return to their normal condition.
