Theia’s new SL183 lens leverages its patented, linear optical technology platform to offer all optical distortion correction in a varifocal model. Designed for 1/2.5” image sensors and smaller, the 1.8 to 3 mm 5-megapixel lens provides from 77 to 115 degrees horizontal field of view, with less than 1 percent of barrel distortion keeping straight lines straight.
The varifocal feature allows more flexibility for camera placement and wider area coverage. With its true zoom capability, the lens increases convenience. While zooming once focus is set, the image remains in focus. The lens i s IR corrected for day/night cameras to focus crisply in both visible and near IR light conditions. The compact 50mm length allows the lens to fit for most minidome cameras.
