The HX-40DAM provides stable and reliable detection in most harsh outdoor environments, whereas simple PIR detectors struggle to function, due to its double conductive shielding. It has a mounting height of 2.5 – 3.0 meters, allowing it to cover a larger perimeter. Unlike most indoor environments, outdoor ground is not always flat. Steep slopes can cause negative effects on the catch performance feature. The adjustable bracket enables the sensor to maintain optimal catch performance at 180 degrees.
The exclusive pyro-element onboard enables the HX-40DAM to project an ideal detection pattern, allowing more accurate human detection. With its advanced temperature compensation, summer night, vegetation sway analysis and microwave-intelligent quantification functions, the detector is also less susceptible to false alarms. The HX-40DAM also possesses an active IR digital anti-masking circuit that will trigger the alarm if an object is placed in front of its lens for more than 180 seconds.
