Description:

Bosch introduces the DLA 1200 Series and DLA 1400 Series IP video storage appliances, simple, centralized, all-in-one storage management solutions for up to 64 or 128 channels, respectively. These intelligent IP storage devices eliminate the need for separate network video recorder (NVR) server and storage hardware. This can reduce a system's total cost of ownership by as much as 45 percent, as well as reducing overall power requirements.

The appliances offer storage capacity of up to 4TB for the DLA 1200 series or 8TB for the DLA 1400 Series. Powered by Bosch Video Recording Manager (VRM) software, they deliver unique IP video storage solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses. Their low maintenance embedded design combines NVR server capability with intelligent video storage, reducing possible points of failure. ‘Plug & play' network-based recording makes them ideal for IT-minded customers.

The DLA 1200 Series is housed in a compact, ultra-quiet tower chassis featuring field-replaceable drives and supports the recording of up to 32 IP video devices (up to 64 with optional expansion license). Adding the free Bosch Video Client (BVC) software turns the 1200 Series into an ultra-low cost 16 channel IP video management solution. BVC camera add-on licenses allow expansion of the system to a full 64 channels. BVC lets users view a mix of HD (1080p and 720P) or SD cameras at the same time. Extra storage capacity can be created by combining several 1200 Series appliances.

The DLA 1400 Series supports the recording of up to 64 IP channels per appliance (up to 128 with optional expansion license) and comes as either a 1U (4-bay) or 2U (8-bay) rack mount unit. It features hot-swappable drives and RAID-5 data protection to ensure maximum system uptime. It becomes a complete video management solution for up to 64 cameras when combined with Bosch VMS Lite. Scalability up to 512 cameras is possible when using more than one 1400 Series (5) in combination with Bosch VMS Professional Edition.

Both the DLA 1200 Series and DLA 1400 Series IP video storage appliances are very simple to install, use and manage. Wizard-based set-up and centralized configuration reduce installation times by as much as 50 percent. All components are delivered pre-installed and pre-configured. Once connected to the network and powered up, the appliances are ready to begin recording straight out of the box.
