There are now more than 600 ONVIF-conformant products on the market, a number that has doubled just within the last three months. The ONVIF membership count has increased to more than 250 companies. The recently released ONVIF Core Specification 2.0 extends ONVIF’s reach to video storage, display devices, video analytics and several other areas.

“Three months ago, in October 2010, the number of ONVIF-conformant products was about 300. Since then the number has doubled, which is an astounding increase. This clearly shows that the industry has chosen ONVIF as the preferred interface,” said Jonas Andersson, Chairman of ONVIF’s Steering Committee, Axis Communications.

Apart from the growth of ONVIF-conformant products, ONVIF members have also increased to more than 250, including 15 full members, 23 contributing members and 220 user members.
