Smiths Detection has completed the installation of all the main security scanning systems in the newly opened Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi, India.

Smiths Detection President Stephen Phipson, CBE, said, “India is one of Smiths Detection’s fastest growing markets and we are delighted that our advanced scanning systems are being used to enhance travelers’ security at such a key transport hub for the entire region.”
JK Srivastava, MD of Smiths Detection’s operations in India, said, “This is one of our most prestigious and biggest airport contracts with around 350 detection systems now in place supported by 19 on-site engineers who provide around-the-clock service.”
