“We will likely continue to see increased traction with artificial intelligence (AI) based video analytics for perimeter protection,” Dhamija said. “Customers strongly favor solutions that offer cloud-connected devices with remote management capabilities. We’re seeing cloud adoption becoming a much easier sell for clients; more building managers are ready to migrate to the cloud because it lets them remotely manage their video infrastructure.”
Dhamija added that more customers now want the autonomy to access video footage and respond to alarms at any time from any location. Customers also look for multi-sensor cameras with up to 360-degree coverage and encryption in the SD card and video stream.
How has the market demand evolved?
As many more people continue to shift their work styles, whether fully remote, in the office, or in a hybrid model, security teams need to be more flexible and have the ability to adjust quickly if required.
“Customers want to do more with their existing systems, as well as making sure they are up to date on the latest standards, including NDAA compliance for many,” Dhamija. “Specifically, we have seen customers looking for higher entry resolution from 2MP to 4MP/5MP, as well as more 4K resolution requirements and an increasing demand for thermal cameras for perimeter protection usage.”
Customers are increasingly exploring options to integrate more sensors with their video surveillance security systems. For instance, radars and LiDAR technologies are receiving more attention than before. Integrating them to operate seamlessly is crucial as more solutions enter the market.
