Matrix Comsec, a fast-growing company in the security industry, is ready to strengthen its local footprint in Vietnam, expanding its reach through new partners and a wide range of innovative products.
Originally established in 1991 as a Telecom solutions provider, Matrix Comsec entered the security industry in 2007 with a comprehensive portfolio encompassing Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Time-attendance. Presently, its products are widely used in Europe, America, Middle East and Asia.
Matrix is now positioning itself firmly in the growing Vietnam security market with its latest partnership with U and M.E., a local distributor in the country. “The Vietnamese people now understand that security is a priority. Any company, any infrastructure that has been developed, is now more focused on the security part. This trend is growing, and it will only grow more,” said Sapan Bhargava, Regional Sales Manager for APAC at Matrix Comsec. “We had some amount of business in the Vietnamese market in the past year. This year, it is going up. We expect growth to be more than 20 to 25 percent from last year.”
According to Bhargava, there is a strong demand for Matrix Video Surveillance products and solutions, which are highly adaptable and easily deployable in multiple market segments. “Our Professional Series Dome cameras can be used in apartment or corporate environments, whereas big manufacturing factories can use our Project Series or PTZ cameras” he said. Bhargava added that understanding local needs and requirements is important to the company, sharing that Matrix has successfully developed a Parking Management System designed specifically to read Vietnamese number plates.
Access control is another rising market segment for Vietnam, with various organizations expressing interest in the Matrix Multispectral Fingerprint and Palm-vein devices. “Our Palm-vein sensor can read multiple layers of your palm, it provides easy access without touching the optical sensor. You just have to show your palm.” said Bhargava. The device reads the surface and subsurface of the finger, enabling accurate readings even under challenging situations or poor ridge image captures.
Matrix aims to capitalize on these strong product and service offerings as well as R&D to successfully penetrate the Vietnam market. “We have a policy of thinking outside the box. Matrix is about substance in everything we do. It can be in adopting the knowledge of the product. We always try to do more in the market, enhancing our technologies and ensuring that Matrix is operating at an optimal level for continuous innovation,” shared Bhargava.
