Southco Asia, a subsidiary of Southco, a global provider of engineered access solutions such as locks, latches, captive fasteners, electronic access solutions and hinges/positioning technology, has announced the appointment of Joaquin Tam as General Manager of Greater China. Tam reports to Jay Lu, Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Southco.
Based in Hong Kong—Southco's Asia Pacific headquarters, Tam will provide strategic leadership to drive sustainable and profitable growth in the Greater China region. In addition, he will also lead Southco's Asia Pacific Diversified Technologies business unit to drive revenue growth across the Asia Pacific region.

Tam comes to Southco with more than 25 years of global leadership experience. He has a proven track record in strategic acquisitions and delivering rapid and sustained business growth. Prior to joining Southco, Tam was General Manager of Southern China & Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North Asia at Bureau Veritas. He also worked as Group Sales & Marketing Director at Jardine Schindler Group.
Tam holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
