Milestone opens new APAC HQ

Milestone opened its first office in APAC in 2006, ten years later Milestone is reinforcing its presence in the region with the inauguration ceremony of a new larger office in Singapore.

The ceremony was presided by Benjamin Low, Vice President Sales, Asia Pacific and Japan and Mr. Kenneth Petersen, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Milestone Systems who cut the ribbons to the new office and greeted around 50 guests from Canon, Axis, EMC Dell, Quantum Storage and other partners who worked together with Milestone in the region.

In his opening remarks Mr. Low emphasized that the opening of the new office is one of the steps that Milestone is taking to further facilitate its increased presence in the region. Over the course of the last 18 months the Milestone team in APAC has doubled in size and more work is already underway and planned with their partner community. “VMS might not be the biggest part of the solution, but it is definitely a very important part of the solution. We have invested a lot in improving our product and SDK for the benefit of our partner community and we are committed to further increase our cooperation with them. Only working as a team with the community will we be able to succeed” said Low. Mr. Petersen added that APAC is the region with the highest growth potential among the different Milestone regions and emphasized the importance of stronger ties between the milestone community members.

In addition, he announced in 2017 Milestone will deepen the cooperation between community members and that the company plans to launch a Milestone Integration Partner Symposium (MIPS) APAC event, that will bring together Milestone distributors, systems integrators, end users, software solution partners, camera manufacturers and storage providers from across the region. The company currently hosts the MIPS in the Americas and adding an APAC and EMEA event is a strong indication of the company's growing involvement in the regions.
