The 11th edition of the Professional Security Seminar organized by a&s Magazine will take place Sept. 28, 2018 in Akihabara.

GDSF Japan is a 1 day seminar targeting security system integrators in the Japanese security market. The event is organized by a&s Magazine, Japan's leading and longest running security magazine and draws around 200 attendees, mostly system integrators and installers.

Japan security professionals are keen to learn how the latest systems can be deployed in real-world vertical markets. The event is dedicated to introducing new technologies brought to the security field including storage, cloud systems and intelligent solutions.

The 2018 seminar agenda will focus on storage demands in the new era, information security for physical security systems and the uses of video beyond surveillance.

The storage seminar will discuss the rising requirement for longer retention which is driving the market to look for a solution that is scalable, with reasonable cost, reliable and with sufficient after-service and maintenance. This seminar track will discuss available technologies and new opportunities such as migration to cloud storage and new intelligent NVRs.

The information security seminar track will focus on best practices for protecting security systems from hacking. A third seminar track will focus on Integrated solutions: the uses of video beyond surveillance. Video surveillance should not be considered only as a cost center. The availability of video analytics and integration of different systems together with video surveillance allows the use of video footage beyond surveillance and as a means for operational efficiency. This seminar track will demonstrate case studies of how video cameras can deliver value beyond security in retail, traffic management and factory operations.

Companies active in the Japanese market are invited to join the event and reach out to system integrators and distributors in Japan, interact with security professionals face-to-face and introduce new solutions.
