Sensitive areas such as laboratories and operating theatres require particularly effective protection. Medicines and anaesthetics, for example, should only be accessible to doctors and certain nursing staff. Furthermore, access to some wards has to be strictly regulated. At the same time, there is a lot of fluctuation in hospitals – doctors undergoing periods of practical training may leave the facility after a year or so, and nurses frequently change departments. Then again, strictly secured rooms have to be regularly accessible to cleaning and maintenance staff.
Our solution therefore enables the effective protection of selected areas. But it is also flexible enough to cope with frequent changes. A single click is enough to alter or even cancel altogether the authorisation associated with a transponder. Access rights can also be allocated for limited periods. For instance, you can define the times during which cleaning personnel may enter an operating theatre.
On top of all that, the system can be expanded to any degree. Drugs cabinets, for example, can be included under its effective protection.
