The encoder’s support for H.264 — the most efficient video compression technique available — yields superb video quality and frame rate at low bandwidth. Each of the encoder’s 16 channels can accommodate one H.264 stream in all resolutions up to 4CIF.

The 2316 Encoder’s intelligent video capabilities, such as multi-zone video detection and privacy masking, help simplify video management and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. In addition to alarms (16/3), the unit supports four audio channels, including one for bi-directional communication, that synchronize with recorded video to provide more comprehensive evidence.

Through seamless integration with March Networks 4332 C and 4324 C Hybrid NVRs, the encoder can be used to expand the analog camera capacity of those systems by as many as 16 channels, for a total of 32 analog inputs. This allows administrators, security managers and loss prevention investigators to easily access and manage video from anywhere on the network. Video, audio and data from the 16-channel encoder are captured by the 4332 C or 4324 C Hybrid NVRs, which provide users with all the powerful features of our Visual Intelligence software. The Live Monitoring Console application provides a single, intuitive interface for viewing live and archived video, while the Evidence Manager and Investigator applications support advanced searching and case management. Multi-site users benefit from the efficiency of our Enterprise Service Manager, which enables centralized control and health monitoring across the entire surveillance infrastructure.
