Using Axis' Panopsis technology, the indoor Axis P5544 PTZ network dome camera incorporates two different lenses to allow users to get a 360-degree panoramic view and mechanical PTZ (18x optical zoom) for detailed HDTV-quality surveillance.

The network camera provides HDTV 720P in compliance with SMPTE 296M standard for a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution, full frame rate, HDTV color fidelity and a 16:9 format. The day/night functionality promises high image quality in low light, while WDR is ideal for handling scenes with varying light levels.

The camera provides Advanced Gatekeeper, which enables the camera to automatically move to a preset position when motion is detected in a predefined area. It is ideal for applications that require wide overview surveillance and sharp, zoomed-in views for identification purposes, such as at airports, train stations, logistics centers and shopping malls
