The Matchtec IRM270T dual technology intrusion detector from Siemens offers an intelligent combination of PIR and Microwave detection, for use in high-risk commercial and industrial areas to deliver high detection sensitivity with low false alarm risks. With robustness even in harsh environments, IRM270T delivers this exceptional catch performance and immunity against false alarms by also combining Siemens'' Matchtec PIR-Microwave technology with Black Triplex Mirror optics.
The IRM270T detector reacts differently to conventional dual-detectors, with AMASIC based digital Matchtec signal analysis of various criteria of the Microwave (MW) and Infra-Red (IR) signal, as opposed to fixed IR and MW alarm thresholds. MW allows increased sensitivity for all axial movements that disturb the expected pattern of the reflected microwave by the receiver, whilst PIR detects temperature differences and alterations between the body and its background. Both the PIR and Microwave settings have sensitivity adjustment mechanisms only if the signal î“žinformation matches the parameters that are characteristic with attacks will the IRM270T respond with an alarm, thus suppressing false alarm occurrence.
