Zenitel, a worldwide leader and supplier of the STENTOFON and VINGTOR brands for security communication systems, based on Critical Communications over IP (CCoIP), is proud to announce their new IP Loudspeaker Horn and IP Ceiling Loudspeaker with IP 67 housing (dirt and water resistant).

The IP Loudspeakers are ideal for “Micro Zone Public Address", which allows you to speak to a single room or specific area. The speakers have a built-in web server for status information, control, and upgrade. All broadcasts are logged in detailed reports using the STENTOFON AlphaCom XE Audio Server.

With IP, the AlphaCom XE system is able to monitor and address each speaker individually. By moving the amplifier from a central unit out to the speaker itself, the need for a central amplifier with conventional speaker loops is eliminated. This makes the system highly scalable, and adding another speaker is easy. Although conventional speaker loops are not used, the speakers can still be divided into groups via software programming. These zones can extend over networks or span the Internet.

To provide maximum availability, the speakers come with advanced supervision functions. The speaker line test will detect any faults in the network or speaker electronics. The status of the speaker is reported to AlphaWeb (embedded web server to operate and manage the AlphaCom XE system) and 3rd party management systems using SNMP, Syslog or OPC.

The IP Loudspeakers have an integrated managed data switch providing advanced networking and security features. The integrated switch provides support for:

Increased system availability through redundant LAN infrastructure
Cost-effective installation by providing shared network connections
