Moxa's Extreme Weather IP Camera Receives Class 1 Division 2 Certification
Source: Moxa
Moxa’s VPort 36-1MP box-type HD IP camera has received Class 1 Division 2 certification, verifying that it is safe for environments prone to flammable gases and vapors, such as tunnels, mines, oil & gas, and other petrochemical applications. The VPort 36-1MP is the world’s first extreme weather IP camera designed to work in temperatures ranging from -40 to 75°C, without a fan or heater, and without compromising on video performance. With intelligent video analysis and image optimization technologies built in, the camera delivers 720P HD H.264 multi-streaming with excellent video capture capability, both day and night, in low light conditions, and with fast moving objects.
Image Optimization

Protected in an optional IP68-rated vandal-proof housing, the VPort 36-1MP provides best-in-class image quality with three simultaneous H.264 and MJPEG video streams at 1280 x 720 HD resolution sent at 30 FPS. Built-in technologies include DNR (digital noise reduction), WDR (wide dynamic range), and BLC (back light compensation), which remove noise and motion blur, overcome poor lighting conditions, and recover images from dark to light, respectively.
Pre-alarm and Bandwidth Optimization

The VPort 36-1MP uses H.264 technology to deliver crystal clear video images with minimal bandwidth. The camera also features Moxa’s DynaStream? technology, which increases the frame rate automatically when needed (for example, in response to security-related events), and otherwise reduces the frame rate to optimize bandwidth usage. The VPort 36-1MP also comes with optional intelligent video analysis functions, which enable quick detection of a wide variety of user-defined threats. Combined with a 24 MB pre-alarm buffer and prompt alert functions, the VPort 36-1MP allows surveillance staff to quickly review details of abnormal events from video recorded on an SD/SDHC card.
Fanless and Cordless

The VPort 36-1MP is compliant with OnVIF, EN 50121, EN 55022, UL/cUL Class 1 Division 2, ATEX Zone 2, and NEMA TS2 standards, making it suitable for complex system integration and demanding applications. It does not require a fan or heater, and its low power consumption design enhances the camera’s operational reliability and longevity. The VPort 36-1MP is compatible with the IEEE 802.3af standards, and consequently requires less cabling, and its power-over-Ethernet (PoE) option reduces installation time and cost. TheVPort 36-1MP has a high MTBF and a warranty period of 5 years, ensuring that your surveillance applications will cost less, require less maintenance, and provide long-term, reliable operation.
