Korenix unveils JetNet 5018G, the Intelligent High Power Density Gigabit Ethernet Switch specifically designed for large scale video surveillance network applications requiring high-port density and secure connection. Equipped with 16 Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Gigabit SFP combo ports, the switch is capable of aggregating up to 8 fast Ethernet and 1 Gigabit fiber/copper rings while ensuring the surveillance network reliability for flexible distance installations.
JetNet 5018G outstands from other similar Din-Rail Switches with its advanced Layer 2 management features, including LLDP and JetView Pro, QoS, VLAN, IGMP Snooping, GMRP, SNMP as well as the MSR and RSTP surveillance network redundancy technologies to provide extended performance with secure data management. Combining rugged IP-31 enclosure, great heat dissipation and -25~70°C wide operating temperature, JetNet 5018G keeps your IP video transmission applications running non-stop in severe industrial environments, and thus becomes the best solution for surveillance in railways, airports, mining areas, oil & gas fields, wind farms, power stations etc.

Enhanced Video Performance through Superior Design
In addition to the 16 Fast Ethernet ports, JetNet 5018G is designed with additional 2 Gigabit RJ45/SFP combo ports, which can be configured for a variety of gigabit cabling types and distances depending on your specific environmental needs. With the non-blocking switching performance, JetNet 5018G provides 12.8G backplane which ensures the video traffic switching without data loss and blocking. Furthermore, the managed high density switch supports up to 9K Jumbo frame which allows transmitting larger megapixel video images with fewer segments.

Flexible & Non-Stop Video Transmission with 9 MultiRings
To ensure the high quality and reliable video traffic transmission in industrial networks, besides the RSTP network redundancy technology, JetNet 5018G also supports Korenix patented MSR redundant ring with less than 5ms link recovery time and “zero” ms restoration time. With its high-port density design featuring exclusive MultiRing technology, it fits the flexible network applications and allows aggregating up to 8 100M Fast Ethernet rings and 1 Gigabit Ring into a single switch. As a result, it increases the network bandwidth and expands the surveillance system through gigabit fiber and copper rings.

Excellent Remote Management and Auto-Network Topology
JetNet 5018G provides various software features such as QoS, 255 VLAN groups, IGMP Snooping, DHCP Option 82, LACP, PTP… for optimizing networks while ensuring high-quality performance, bandwidth aggregation and efficient video traffic transmission. Furthermore, the high security of the video stream management is guaranteed through JetNet 5018G layer 2/4 ACL (Access Control List).
In addition to SNMP, JetNet 5018G also incorporates LLDP function and perfectly works with the Korenix patented JetView Pro industrial network management software allowing administrators to automatically discover IP-enabled devices and efficiently manage the industrial network performance in mission critical IP-based surveillance environments.
