HID Global Extends Partnership with CALMS Technologies to Deliver Converged Solutions in Asia Pacific

HID Global, trusted leader in solutions for the delivery of secure identity, today announced the extended partnership with its HID Connect Partner CALMS Technologies for strategic market development of HID OMNIKEY desktop readers in Malaysia. The partnership reaffirms HID’s commitment to and position in Malaysia, a region that represents significant growth opportunity for logical access solutions.
“HID Global is delighted to extend our partnership with CALMS Technologies to provide a complete, flexible and highly configurable solution that meets the credential management requirements for successful smart card deployments and enables multi-applications on a single credential,” said Lee Wei Jin, director of sales, ASEAN with HID Global. “CALMS has proven track record in the delivery of smart card management solutions to large enterprise and government departments, such as Air Asia and the Malaysia Airport. We are confident that CALMS Technologies will help us extend the capabilities of our logical access solutions in the Malaysian market."
As an HID Connect Partner, CALMS Technologies has developed application software to work with HID proximity and/or iCLASS credentials for converged applications, including physical access control, logical access, electronic payment, time attendance, visitor management, biometrics and other applications. The extended partnership will enable CALMS technologies to leverage OMNIKEY desktop smart card readers as advanced smart card terminals for their campus and enterprise management environment. OMNIKEY readers ensure the seamless integration and interoperability between PCs and smart cards, enabling users to develop various configuration options using CALMS’ management software.
