Hsinchu, Taiwan – IntelliVista Technoloty announces that their broadcast-grade fiber SDI surveillance solution was deployed by a local partner in Longtan, Taiwan for a top-level military unit.

IntelliVista Technology, established in 2010, concentrates on developing total SDI surveillance solution. The solution adopted by military included outdoor SDI Bullet cameras, real-time SDI digital video recorders and fiber SDI extenders developed by IntelliVista Technology. This system is linked to the Access Control and Alarm system. It provides alarms and the best uncompressed video quality to the guards when an intruder breaks in. Working with network functionality, guards in different sites could receive the live steams simultaneously to enhance security and safety.

“The cameras used by Taiwan military comes with Sony 2 megapixel sensors which delivers the most vivid video to the users and also provides a better night view quality then other sensor,”said by Kevin Lee, CEO of IntelliVista Technology. Although SDI delivers longer distance than IP camera, it is still not easy to use SDI cameras in large-scale project due to a lack of good video transmission backbone solution. The fiber SDI video extenders solve this problem, and even allowing several 1080P30 videos to be delivered by the fiber cable. Thus, tremendously reduces the system deployment complexity and cost.

The military is quite satisfied on the quality of the fiber SDI surveillance system and expressed that they will gradually adopt similar solution in other military units to better secure their base safety.
