Mark Laustra, VP of Homeland Security, Smiths Detection, said: "We are excited to have all of our people under one roof. A single site allows us to work more efficiently and leverage our talent and experience to provide even better service to our customers. Morristown is a great location, and the new building will suit us perfectly."
The facility combines the functions of the former Pine Brook and Warren offices and will feature a state-of-the-art product showroom for customer demonstrations.
Smiths Detection has a large array of inspection and detection solutions that serve homeland security, aviation, critical infrastructure, and ports and border security markets. About 150 employees of the total 800 US-based Smiths Detection workforce will occupy the 78,000 square-foot Morristown facility.
Smiths Detection's other main US sites are in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Virginia.
