Korenix Technology, a Taiwan-based industrial network device maker with a solid background in IP, focuses strongly on innovative products with reliability and quality. With overseas sales generating roughly 90 percent of the company's total revenue in 2008, Korenix is aiming to gain more market share in the international marketplace with solutions designed for different verticals.
Currently, Korenix has 10 branch offices, about 100 distributors and more than 1,000 trained partners operating around the world. Sales and support services are offered in overseas branches, with the Taiwanese headquarters focused mainly on R&D and manufacturing. Market research is conducted locally by each branch to help the company better understand the needs of its customers. Sales grew the fastest among the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
The driving force behind Korenix's worldwide expansion is simple. "Because many professional video surveillance installers aren't very familiar with IP and management platforms. We can offer them training, support and network consulting services through our local offices," said Jessica Wang, Marketing Manager.
Strong technological know-how is another key. "All industrial verticals need highly reliable network devices. Therefore, it's a must for us to understand all the different requirements of each vertical well," said Wang.
Latest on Offer
Korenix's crown jewel is its industrial grade PoE switches. The R&D team makes 
up about 40 percent of the company's workface, committed to the development of its latest products.
Some distinguishing features include IP67 outer casings, 30-W power affordibility, auto checkup and recovery of network status and high reliability. Patented technology includes its different kinds of ring structures for data and power recovery, rapid topology change and multicasting.
"All industrial verticals need highly reliable network delivery. Our recovery time for a network failure can be less than five milliseconds, and the restore time can be zero milliseconds without any negative effect," Wang said.
Future Outlook
Installations of network devices range from monitoring of ports and highways to surveillance at convenience stores. Korenix sees the highest demand for network devices in transportation, environmental monitoring, oil/gas, mining, water conservation and mobile surveillance.
While sales grew slowly in the U.S. and Europe last year, a 50-percent increase of worldwide sales was witnessed in the first quarter of 2009.
When prompted for the secret ingredient for success, Wang said that unique products, fast response to market needs, and passionate employees and partners are keys.
