HID Global, a vendor providing solutions for the delivery of secure identity, announced the establishment of its APAC Fargo Distribution Center in Hong Kong. The first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, the center provides localized customer service and faster shipment of standard printers and accessory products to destinations within the local time zone.

The first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, the center provides localized customer service and faster shipment of standard printers and accessory products to destinations within the local time zone.
"The establishment of our Hong Kong distribution center enables HID Global to better serve our valued customers in the region, while providing them with the faster delivery service and lower freight cost," said Kenneth Cheung, director of sales, APAC, for HID Global. "Customers will also be able to reach our customer representatives by phone to confirm orders or make enquires – all within local working hours, without having to bridge the gap between time zones."
Located at North Point, Hong Kong, the APAC Fargo Distribution Center has been in operation since April 2009. During this initial stage of operation, the center functions as a shipping point, with all order fulfillment and finance activities still being processed in Eden Prairie, Minn., USA. HID Global Asia-Pacific suggests that customers contact their regional sales managers for an updated list of standard products that are available for shipping from this new center.
