Honeywell Security and Fire announced additions to its growing portfolio of video technology to help security professionals more easily design connected building systems. The company has added several devices to its range of equIP series cameras designed to produce better picture quality in the most-challenging of conditions. It also announced the newest version (4.0) of its MAXPRO network video recorder (NVR), which improves operators’ abilities to quickly store and locate archived video, as well as more easily create integrated surveillance systems.

These additions are the latest enhancements to Honeywell’s overall portfolio of video technology designed to improve ease of use for operators, simplify installation for security professionals, and provide higher-quality video to help protect facilities. The company also recently launched a new IR PTZ cameras to its HDZ range that provide high image quality in low-light applications in vandal-resistant camera housing. The equIP and HDZ cameras and MAXPRO NVRs integrate with Honeywell and third party products for a complete, fully integrated IP solution. Using MAXPRO NVR status monitor allows users to more easily check the status of their system.

The equIP cameras feature low-light capability, a simplified user experience, and can be installed faster using features such as the onboard help facility and Motorized Zoom function. The updated range includes cameras that come in four megapixel (4MP), 1080p, and 1080p ultra-low light resolutions. These cameras feature wide dynamic range imaging, which provides accurate video capture in high-contrast lighting and extreme backlit scenes, and use edge enhancement for maximum clarity.

To save installation time and integration costs, the equIP cameras support ONVIF Profile S and G and integrate with both Honeywell NVRs/VMS (including MAXPRO, DVM, and Performance Embedded NVRs) and third-party manufacturers.

“This complete IP solution integrates new cameras that provide high quality video in ultra-low light environments with new technology in the NVRs that monitor the status of the system.,” said Gerald Coste, Global Video Product Director, Honeywell Security and Fire. “It provides an integrated offering for installers and more features and benefits to end users. There isn’t an environment that this system can’t go into.”

MAXPRO NVRs, equIP, and HDZ cameras are part of Honeywell’s complete video portfolio that includes Performance Series Cameras and embedded NVRs, MAXPRO Cloud, and Xtralis analytics.
