Fiber SenSys (FSI) announced the release of an update to the current Lenel OnGuard interface. All current Fiber Defender products are Lenel factory-certified as part of the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). FSI’s family of perimeter intrusion detection systems interfaces with the OnGuard access control systems V7.1 and 7.2. This interface allows customers to incorporate all perimeter alarm information into the Lenel OnGuard product. Simplifying the operational requirements for perimeter intrusion detection systems by centralizing the command and control functions into the Lenel systems reduces operator interface time as well as reduces training and system management time. Additionally, the installation time of new systems has been reduced, and the operator experience has increased as a result of the higher-level interface.

“Our customers want solutions,” says FSI Global Vice President, Bill Evenson. “By integrating with the Lenel platform, we can combine the Fiber SenSys perimeter solution with Lenel to best meet the needs of the customer.”

“Fiber SenSys has completed required factory testing to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard,” said Zach Roth, OAAP product management, at Lenel. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”
