The new LEGIC ID Network partner Hotek Hospitality Group offers and develops innovative security solutions for the hospitality industry. The Dutch company, with its headquarters in Etten-Leur, has partnered with LEGIC to implement the mobile key function in its hotel lock systems.

Today, most hotels expect that their lock manufacturers support a “mobile key” function. Therefore, Hotek and LEGIC team up to provide the three components for mobile hotel keys using Bluetooth Low Energy technology: a multi-standard door lock, the trusted service LEGIC Connect for secure mobile key deployments and hotel apps based on LEGIC’s mobile SDK.

Three components for mobile keys
Hotek is going to design a new hotel lock with LEGIC’s multi-standard reader chip. The reader chip works with BLE and RFID and is therefore suitable for short and long reading distances.

Furthermore, the secure cloud service LEGIC Connect will be integrated in Hotek’s keycard management software to provide the hotel guests a “straight to the room” option.

Hotek plans to launch several hotel-specific smartphone apps based on LEGIC’s mobile Software Development Kit. The integrated end-to-end security system ranges from mobile guest registration through “over the air key deployments”.

LEGIC acts in the background and allows Hotek to expand their products and services with a secure, scalable and highly accessible mobile room key function.
