The new Crossrail Custom House station is located in East London, one stop from Canary Wharf and is the only Central Section surface station. The new Crossrail Custom House station is located in East London, one stop from Canary Wharf and is the only Central Section surface station. Assa Abloy Security Doors supplied over fifty steel doorsets to the concourse, platforms and entrance of the station. The doorsets include acoustic, fire, personnel and high security doors from the Powershield range, which all met London Underground's stringent standards.

Paul Bryant at Paneltec Services, the contractor responsible for the Custom House Crossrail Station, said, "When Custom House Crossrail station becomes fully operational, it will see 12 trains an hour at peak time, therefore it is essential that the design of the building is suitable for a high volume of people."

Powershield Fire Doors are Certifire approved providing up to four hours of fire protection, while the Acoustic Doors resist sound up to 45dB.
