Theia Technologies is highlighting the applications of their new SL410 lenses for factory applications. The 4K lenses comes with 12-megapixel resolution and high detail capabilities and comes in traditional CS mount for box cameras and motorized zoom and focus versions that can be integrated into cameras.

These lenses can be used in factory situations that require high detail such as factory or quality inspections, where the lenses , paired with a camera featuring video analytics, would be ideal for checking if there are things that are out of place. According to Andrea Iniguez, VP of Business Development at Theia Technologies, there is a place for 4K lenses/cameras in factory settings, although its incorporation would depend on certain factors. "It is rather new. It is kind of depends on the adoption of H.265 and other pieces of equipment like the monitor or the transmitters. It's going to be coming more and more into play as the technology becomes more mature."

"Lens and 4K cameras are going to facilitate higher and higher performance in analytics. That's what the belief is so we're positioning this as an enabling technology that is going to help enable higher performance activities in different applications such as factory automation and machine vision," continued Iniquez.
