The software fully integrates with the latest version of the Symmetry CompleteView Video Management System. Symmetry CompleteView VMS offers dynamic tools, thumbnail search capability, and a Design Wizard to easily design a video security project. Symmetry V8.1 integrates with AMAG's new Symmetry GUEST Visitor Management System. The new cloud based system provides pre-enrollment, advanced self-service features for visitors and an improved customer experience, while improving lobby traffic flow, increasing security and reducing costs.

Symmetry V8.1 now integrates with ASSA ABLOY's Sargent and Corbin Russwin IP-Enabled Locks, which allows users to expand access control to include doors not normally included in a traditional security system. Users can expand their access control system in this way by simply adding a software license. No Symmetry hardware or extra wiring is needed.
Advanced activity filters in Symmetry V8.1 allow users to further drill down to see specific activity of interest in real-time. The filters provide precision, which helps pinpoint movement in investigations.
Alarms generated during construction and maintenance periods can distract and inconvenience control center employees. In a new Maintenance Mode feature, alarms and events from specified door controllers can be diverted to a separate alarm filter within Symmetry during maintenance periods.

The Symmetry software prevents the removal of hardware devices if still logically integrated with other items of equipment. A list of connected devices or interfaces now appears at the point of requested hardware deletion making the process more straightforward for the technician.
Symmetry V8.1 now supports integration with the latest DMP XR550 burglary and intrusion panel. The integration allows users to gain access and disarm an area using a single access card. Alarms from the DMP XR550 panel will appear in Symmetry, providing one user interface to manage alarms.
Genetec Security Center v5.3 is supported by Symmetry V8.1 in a two-way integration through a separate Symmetry plug-in. Symmetry V8.1 now supports Microsoft Windows 10 Professional and Enterprise operating systems, so users already using 10 or those who are looking to upgrade to 10 will be compatible.
