EtherWAN Systems has included a new product to their surge protector product family, the PD3041, in addition to the Ethernet surge protector PD1041.

The PD3041 features a pair of RJ11/2 wire terminal block connectors, compatible with pass-through data/ power of standard Gigabit Ethernet/ Power over Ethernet with total surge protection current up to 10kA. The PD3041 also features wide operating temperature range (-40°C to 75°C under 100Mbps throughput). It also passes UL497B, IEC61643-21, CE, FCC, VCCI, and RoHS compliance requirements.

High electromagnetic interference, unstable electricity, and indirect lightning often generate undesired voltage surges toward the network equipment. When a surge occurs, the PD3041 will isolate the excess surge to the ground, thus the network devices, cables and data communications are free from additional damage. The PD3041 is compatible with DSL phone line applications, targeting area with unstable electricity supply or high EMI environments.

EtherWAN's hardened grade products are already designed in compliance with EN61000-4-5. The PD3041 can work with all EtherWAN’s Ethernet extenders with copper wires when higher level of data port protection is needed. All explains the PD3041 is in high availability and reliability.
