IntelliVision Technologies, a pioneer and leader in software video analytics solutions, announced it has closed on a round of capital funding. With the phenomenal growth in camera deployment, and an ever increasing computing capability available within the camera and with cloud connected IP cameras, completely new markets are being created for intelligent video analytics. The combination of all of these factors has allowed IntelliVision to continue to expand in existing markets and invest in diverse new markets such as security, Smart Homes/IoT, Smart Cities, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Smart Machines such as Drones and Robots, Automotive Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), broadcasting deep video data mining and other emerging markets. Adding video analytics in to these markets has made IntelliVision "The Brains behind the Eyes".

"We are delighted to close this first round of funding," said Vaidhi Nathan, President and CEO of IntelliVision. "This capital investment will allow IntelliVision to move to the next level of growth by investing in our product road map and increasing our worldwide marketing and sales activities to ensure a strong presence in these new emerging markets."

"This capital investment will allow IntelliVision to move to the next level of growth by investing in our product road map and increasing our worldwide marketing and sales activities to ensure a strong presence in these new emerging markets," said Vaidhi Nathan, President and CEO of IntelliVision.

"Computer vision and machine intelligence is one of the next potentially explosive market places," said Eric Buatois, General Partner at Benhamou Global Ventures. "We saw the large opportunity that IntelliVision has to offer this market and we are delighted to play a part in their market expansion."

"What attracted us to IntelliVision was the expert domain knowledge IntelliVision have at processing very complex video and registering and recoding real time events with high precision and accuracy," said Kanwal Rekhi, Managing Director at Inventus Capital Partners. "It is very clear if you look at the number of applications and deployments of cameras, that this market is going through a big transition from being a simple passive device to becoming the next smart sensor."

"Video analytics has become a key differentiator in many applications deploying cameras today," said Louis Rajczi, Partner at Forté Ventures. "Adding video intelligence in the form of real time video analytics not only provides companies ways to bring unique products to the market, but it is also one of the key market factors in enabling new value added cloud based services. We are pleased to be a part of the IntelliVision story."

"IntelliVision is adding the intelligence component to the camera, and that is opening up a new world of opportunities and applications. We are delighted and excited by the new opportunities that can now be realized," said John Morrissey of Shea Ventures.

"As a company with a proud history of providing data capture and inventory management solutions to the retail, T&L and warehouse customers and beyond, Zebra Technologies sees the proliferation of cameras in those markets and the opportunity to add smart, accurate analytics to leverage the 'sensing capability' of those cameras," said Tony Palcheck of Zebra Ventures. "IntelliVision is one of the few companies that truly understands the analytics needs of this market and has a proven solution for it."

"As homes become smarter with the deployment of smart sensors, the Smart Camera has become one of the most important elements in the Smart Home ecosystem," said John Morrissey of Shea Ventures. "IntelliVision is adding the intelligence component to the camera, and that is opening up a new world of opportunities and applications. We are delighted and excited by the new opportunities that can now be realized."
