The city is also using their Milestone video solution to become more environmentally friendly. Waste in the streets is a burden to the city if it is not detected and disposed efficiently. Now abandoned waste can easily be monitored and traced, ensuring a clean, attractive city.
Milestone Partner GSA di Guido Luigi has installed Milestone XProtect Express to manage 36 Axis network video cameras located in public areas around the city. The local police and security managers of public institutions get an overview of all relevant cameras with the XProtect Smart Client: an easy-to-manage timeline enables them to examine incidents quickly and make informed decisions. The Milestone Mobile client for smartphones allows rapid response by the local police force, providing full situational awareness even when patrolling.
Milestone XProtect is easy to use and offers a wide choice of optimal hardware for any given task. The city is considering integrating the open platform Milestone XProtect with traffic classification software to help clear traffic jams. They are also thinking about an integration that connects an audio IP speaker system with the tourist information panels located at different sights to improve the visiting experience for tourists.
