Challenges
Further discussions with the project planner made them , realize that the challenges of installation, product solutions, and environmental obstacles were made tougher by the fact that most of the court facilities were located in the desert. Three major questions were brought up:
Q1. How to do installations in the desert without electricity, power, and network?
Q2. How to manage each far-flung, isolated location?
Q3. How to install cameras at each location without NVR and an IP address?
Solution
Customized Product Solutions - Solar Panel and 3G network
In this construction monitoring project, the MOJ in Saudi Arabia installed GKB DZ2801, GKB D44624 with built-up solar panel and 3G network. The central management center hosted GKB DN4808 for remote recording and relay function.
Cloud CMS - Decentralize IP Cameras and Hierarchical Management
GKB hosts a backbone server for worldwide clients. The MOJ was able to take advantage of the Cloud CMS to easily manage cameras in over 10 locations.
MOJ only needs to register their camera IDs with the GKB Cloud- server and create their own ID account. With it, users were able to view and manage the cameras anytime and anywhere. Since all operations were processed on the GKB Cloud, it wasn’t necessary to purchase NVR hardware for each location. Users were able to enjoy the benefits beyond the services GKB provided: safety, security and privacy.
3R Solutions - Remote Recording & Relay Application
Remote Recording
The users hosted operated one stand-alone Linux based NVR at the Central Monitoring Center in Riyadh HQ. Since they only needed to type in their ID account into the NVR, it eliminated the need to enter or remember the IP addresses of their cameras. The application of Linux NVR DN4808 helped to remotely record camera feeds in over 10 different locations
Relay Application
Moreover, GKB DN4808 provided live relay viewing for more than 10 additional client users through the Internet.
Benefits
The administrative user can create and manage hierarchical users on the - Cloud Management. The browser- based management system- provides well-rounded functions including management, configuration, viewing, and playback.
