Allegion, a leading global security products and solutions provider, will debut its ENGAGE Gateway, which is designed to be used with devices that feature ENGAGE technology, including Schlage NDE Series wireless locks, to deliver real-time networked connectivity with NDE alliance partner systems. ENGAGE Gateway has a versatile design to fit almost anywhere and works seamlessly to leverage existing IP-based or RS-485 infrastructure for maximum flexibility.
“Each gateway can support multiple devices for a wide range of applications, including interior suite entries, offices, conference rooms and sensitive storage areas,” said Ben Hopkins, product marketing manager at Allegion.
“ENGAGE technology was designed from the ground up with security in mind. We’re looking forward to showcasing it because we believe ENGAGE provides customers with a secure, dependable experience.”
The gateway is just one example of how advancements in technology continue to affect the security industry. Security professionals are in the midst of transition as electronic solutions rise in popularity, coinciding with the Internet of Things (IoT). More and more manufacturers are developing electronic solutions – such as the NDE Series – to help improve security and efficiency.
Allegion will debut the product at the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International 61st Annual Seminar and Exhibits, held Sept. 28-Oct. 1, in Anaheim, Calif.
Allegion will be located at Booth 2838 inside the Anaheim Convention Center, where the company will also highlight other innovative products in front of 20,000-plus security professionals at the security conference.
