MediaTek Takes a Leap Forward in Baby Monitoring Application
MediaTek showcases contact-free baby monitoring solution, adding smart detection functions to the surveillance camera application.

The contact-free detection technology by MediaTek extract heart rate by calculating the subtle color changes on the skin led by blood circulation. Meanwhile, simply by analyzing the auditable sound and reflecting ultrasound signals, the monitoring system can also use to detect baby's crying and breathing.

For the motion activated mode, the camera will only be turned on when object is detected in 20-feet, saving unnecessary power consumption. Meanwhile, the user can also choose for the hybrid mode, which is having both functions work at the same time. Under hybrid mode, the camera will automatically change to motion activated recording mode, recording at 3 frames per second, when the sensor is triggered.
