Founded in 1979, Lite-Puter is a professional lighting control system provider with exclusive agents and distributors in over 64 countries. It has clients worldwide, including high-end hotels, builders, and television stations such as NHK worldwide.

Lite-Puter's lighting solutions feature precision in brightness control, which is required for professional lighting— user can tune the light to the exact brightness every time.

Since around 5 years ago, Lite-Puter started offering lighting solutions based on PLC.

“The advantage of using PLC is that it can largely saving wiring costs because you can just use existing power line without having to re-wire or create new wiring,” said Louis Hsu, President of Lite-Puter, “In addition, with PLC, there can be up to 96 control channels on a single AC power main line. This means that multiple lights can be controlled separately even when they share the same power line. In track lighting for example, traditionally all the lights have to be turned on or off or dimmed together. Using PLC allows user to control each light separately.”

Through working with builders, the company expects to extend their services to more homeowners. According to Hsu, the company expects a two- to three-fold growth in the next few years.
