IDIS DirectIP nominated for GIT Security Award 2015

IDIS DirectIP nominated for GIT Security Award 2015
Nomination recognises the innovative technology inside DirectIP surveillance solutions that delivers tangible benefits to integrators and end users

Technology innovations within DirectIP, the next generation surveillance solutions, designed, developed, and manufactured by surveillance powerhouse, IDIS, have been nominated for a GIT SECURITY AWARD 2015.

The awards, organised by Wiley, the publishers of GIT SECURITY and GIT SICHERHEIT magazines, recognize the innovations across electronic security, fire, and building automation systems that drive significant benefits for installers and end user customers. Jury representatives comprised integrators and end users along with some of Germany's most highly respected technology and engineering bodies including:
* BHE – The German Association of Manufacturers and Installers of Security Systems
* TuV Rheinland – A global service provider of independent inspection, testing and certification
* VDMA - The German Engineering Federation
* ZVEI – One of the most important industrial associations in Germany.

Impressing the judges across a number of areas, DirectIP scored with its high-performance enabling protocols including Pentaplex operation, outstanding image clarity and full-HD resolution, together with no visible network latency. Simple plug-and-play installation demonstrated significant time and cost savings, through the elimination of IP addressing, even for multi-site monitoring. At the same time, the wide choice of network video recorders (NVRs) impressed with storage options for businesses large or small, all utilising financial industry levels of data security and integrity.

Brian Song, Managing Director, IDIS Europe, commented, “We are thrilled by the recognition from both industry peers, and highly respected associations and bodies. The nomination demonstrates that DirectIP really does offer something new, especially in terms of high-performance, image quality, and simple plug-and-play installation. Committed to further develop our DirectIP offering, we will launch an extended product line up at IFSEC International later this month.”

All finalists across five categories are publicised in the June issues of GIT SECRUITY and GIT SICHERHEIT. Awards will be presented at the Security Essen trade show in September with an online readers' poll.

Implemented globally by businesses large and small across a wide range of markets, DirectIP delivers a fast return on investment through low cost of ownership and operational efficiency. Packaged as an end-to-end solution, comprising a range of cameras, monitors, network video recorders (NVR) and comprehensive video management software, DirectIP solutions deliver unrivalled plug-and-play simplicity, combined with highest-quality performance and reliability.
