PureTech Systems Inc., specializing in geospatial video management and video analytics software recently integrates its PureActiv wide area surveillance solution with FLIR's SA180 ThermoVision thermal imager. The integration brings together PureTech's geospatial user interface with FLIR's line of panoramic view thermal imagers. The combination allows for display and control of the FLIR SA180, which boasts 180-degree view. In addition to features like digital zoom, the solution utilizes PureActiv's video analytic capability to alarm on intrusions and dynamically display the target's location on the map-enabled video management command and control.

"PureTech Systems continues to prove its world class performance in the use of video analytics for outdoor perimeter detection," said Eric Olson, vice president of marketing at PureTech Systems. "We've integrated a vast array of long range, IR illuminated, megapixel and thermal cameras. Having the opportunity to add the panoramic thermal capabilities of the FLIR ThermoVision SA180 camera allows our customers yet another tool to help them effectively address their security needs. This wide-angle solution opens up a new set of options when designing and implementing video-based perimeters. Now security integrators can have the same powerful thermal detection capabilities they've come to know and can now apply them over much larger, panoramic view angles."

"We are proud to support this integration," explains Andrew Saxton, Director of Marketing of FLIR. "Both of our solutions are targeted at providing security personnel with the highest level of situational awareness. This combination of live panoramic IR/EO feeds and advanced video analytics is a powerful offering for security providers."

The integrated solution, currently deployed for border applications, allows for wide viewing angles during both day and night operations. In addition to fixed deployments, the integration is targeted for future use on mobile platforms where both intelligent video analysis and wide angle viewing is required.
