With the new Professional Series TriTech+ Curtain Detector with Anti-mask, Bosch Security Systems completes its range of professional grade motion detectors. This unit is ideal for monitoring long, narrow interior spaces such as hallways, storefronts, loading docks, or storage aisles, offering dip switch selection between 2 coverage areas: 30 x 2.6 meter or 8 x1 meter. No matter the range selected, Bosch Sensor Data Fusion Signal Processing combines Passive Infrared (PIR) and ultra-low power microwave Doppler radar with multiple built-in environmental sensors to ensure the most reliable detection performance available in a motion detector.
In order to meet the demanding requirements for this application, Bosch has developed a new curtain specific infrared lens and radar system. Optimizing both technologies is required to ensure reliable detection within the protected area while simultaneously reducing false alarms caused by disturbances from the sides. This sets this product apart from traditional detectors that achieve curtain coverage simply by masking parts of the infrared lens, while continuing to use their standard 90 degree coverage radar systems that far exceed the desired area of detection.
The new detector also offers the highest level of security, e.g. through its Multi-point Anti-mask with Integrated Spray detection (MANTIS), certified by an accredited lab to EN50131-2-4 Grade 3.This makes it the perfect choice for high security applications such as banks, jewelry stores, or warehouses. As with all Bosch wall mount detectors, this model comes in a two-piece design with self-locking enclosure to reduce installation time by more than 25% compared to conventional designs where the circuit board needs to be removed for installation and screws are deployed for securing the cover. The optical chamber and electronics are sealed behind a protective cover to prevent accidental damage, as well as reducing false alarms from drafts and insects. Last but not least, the detector is equipped with an integrated bubble level for easy installation.
The new Professional Series TriTech+ Curtain Detector with Anti-mask will be available in 2 versions: model “ISC-PDL1-WAC30H” operating at 10.588 GHz for France and the UK; and model “ISC-PDL1-WAC30G” operating at 10.524 GHz for other European, Middle East and African markets. The launch will commence from March 2014 onwards.
