Challenge
As criminal activities become more sophisticated, constant upgrades for surveillance technology are imperative. For a local police station and City Hall in Halle, Belgium, it was no exception. In order to meet numerous complex technical specs and requirements for this city surveillance project, many different types of cameras were sought after. Some of the challenges facing the I-View's teams and system integrator included integration of various brands of camera at the city hall like Everfocus and Arecont Vision, the implementation of cameras within diverse environments and the software integration.
Solution
The city hall project inaugurated with the installation of I-View's Anynet6424 NVR to monitor each parking areas, entrance and corridor. Anynet6424 NVR is a powerful Onvif network video recorder, with 24 hot-swap-able Hard Disks and maximum storage capacity up to 96 Terabytes. The project consists of 8 units of Anynet6424 plus one mirror server for fail-over backup solution. With total 512 channels display on 10 units of monitor, operate by I-View's Central management system, FreeViewPro, able to live viewing, PTZ, playback, alarm in/out, audio in/out. Result
The I-View network video solution allows the Central control center to handle the operations of video surveillance, video recording and playback as well as alarm management remotely via the Internet. The solution, which features an advanced multi-window video viewing platform, allows staff at the Taipei city hall to rapidly assess the situation and take immediate action in case of potential crime.
