Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media hosted "Review of 2013; preview of 2014" event in Taipei, Taiwan on January 7th 2014, approximately 100 Taiwanese suppliers attended. a&s editorial department provided optimistic data analysis and predictions on the security market in the world, China and Taiwan.

“Even though the global security market is still deeply troubled by the ongoing economic recession; the general business prospect remains promising,” said Jill Lai, Chief Editor for a&s International. “Suppliers should focus on creating extra values to customers, as well as observing the emerging markets, especially the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and Indonesia, Turkey, and Malaysia, because they will probably be affected by the QE withdrawal,” continued Jill Lai.

Looking at the overview of the security market in Asia, John Shi, General Manager at Messe Frankurt, shared his keen observations. “Despite that the industry is currently undergoing the process of deconstruction and reconstruction, the holistic security market still appears to be optimistic,” stated John Shi. He suggested that suppliers should steer towards artificial intelligence (AI), predicting artificial intelligence to be a new zeitgeist of product differentiation.

“ With a good understanding of public investments, domestic sales markets, as well as catering to the needs of data saving, customers, the SI market and better sub-systems integration – 2014 is still reckoned to be a year of opportunities, “ said Kay Liu, Executive Editor for a&s Taiwan. “ Although Taiwan's market is relatively small – it is a splendid training ground for security suppliers,” added Kay Liu.
