Among Vivint's customers who are using home automation to keep their kids safe is Diane Vassos from Riverton, Wyoming. When Vassos's daughter had a Vivint system installed in her rental home to keep her three small children safe, they had no idea just how grateful they would be that Vivint was there. Less than two weeks after installing the system, Vassos's daughter left her youngest son at home with a babysitter for the day. In the middle of cooking dinner, the sitter experienced a medical emergency and blacked out. While she was unconscious, the stove caught on fire and filled the house with smoke.
"There was no one there to help the sitter or the baby," says Vassos, "but luckily the Vivint fire alarm system took over and sent the fire department into action. The alarm also alerted neighbors who were then able to get the baby and the sitter out of the house before any smoke inhalation occurred. I thank God and Vivint for the wonderful job it has done for our family. This system isn't only about break-ins—it's also a life saver!"
Another customer, Brian Smiley from Minneapolis, Minnesota, loves his system for its simplicity and usability for his children.
