Asia Update: a&s Asia turning over a new leaf

Asia Update: a&s Asia turning over a new leaf
For the past 16 years, a&s Asia has been a dedicated regional media platform for the physical, electronic security industry, linking quality equipment/software/solutions providers to regional security professionals and decision makers such as distributors, resellers/importers, integrators and consultants. At this pivotal moment of change and uncertainty, it will take charge again in leading the regional security community to embrace a new age of digital communications, interactions and partners/solutions finding.

Building on the quality content and connections that a&s is known for, the regional guidebook will take a more effective, digital-first approach to gathering and disseminating industry/market intelligence, linking stakeholders and facilitating dialog, and promoting best practices and cultivating security awareness at large, while preserving the best of print. The new “look and feel” will be unveiled in the next issue — Nov/Dec 2013 — and starting Jan 2014, a&s Asia will become a monthly (both in print and on tablets) so that you don't miss a beat on what's happening in this dynamic and thriving region.

Highlights of the new a&s Asia
Digitally Enhanced
: Starting Oct 2013, an all-new social media-like, mobile-friendly information exchange platform (Asia Corner) for the vibrant Asian security, safety and construction community will be available on asmag.com, with real-time report findings, event/road show/project updates and thought-provoking interactions to keep security/safety/construction professionals, solutions providers and seekers, and stakeholders and officials in the know, on the go.

Info-graphically Driven: Starting Nov/Dec 2013, the print publication of a&s Asia will adopt a new shape, with info-graphic-rich findings, easy-to-grasp highlights, and key discussions and quotes from online reports, features, updates and interactions on Asia Corner. A tablet-friendly version will also be made available on both iOS AppStore and Android Market/Play in Jan 2014, when the pub becomes a monthly, with movers and shakers highlighted as cover personnel.

Deeper Reach: Regional stakeholders go beyond solutions providers, channel partners, corporate users and national borders; the new a&s Asia will engage even more government officials, association representatives, and law enforcement and fire safety experts to share their views on urban/infrastructure planning, legal/building requirements and urgent solution needs.

Problem-Solving Oriented: While the a&s team will set the tone and topics online and in print, original and collaborative content will be interactively generated and curated as versatile reports and studies, practical technical and/or business discussions, and construction or project planning-related features for Asian security, safety and construction professionals that are searching for projects, partners, products and other possibilities.

Design Wins: The region is exotic in its unique demand for cost-effective solutions that can deliver near-perfect performance under challenging environmental and/or vertical conditions; special coverage on customizable/durable/scalable system designs and solutions, with urban or architectural considerations in mind, will be featured on a regular basis for possible applications elsewhere in the region or beyond.

“We hope you are as exciting as we are, as we embrace change and possibilities for more collaboration and prosperity in the region,” said Parson Lee, Publisher of a&s series publications and MD for Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media.
