Avigilon appoints Executive VP of Global Operations
Avigilon, a supplier in HD and megapixel video surveillance solutions, announced the appointment of Chris Ross to the role of Executive VP of Global Operations.

Avigilon, a supplier in HD and megapixel video surveillance solutions, announced the appointment of Chris Ross to the role of Executive VP of Global Operations. In this role, he will support the ongoing operation of all departments and facilities worldwide. Ross will also be responsible for the implementation and management of enterprise business systems and corporate capital assets to fulfill growing customer demands in a timely, accurate and predictable manner.

"Chris Ross' track record of successfully building and executing efficient processes and plans for multi-billion dollar, global high-tech organizations will help Avigilon as we continue on our growth path."

With more than 20 years of high tech manufacturing and operations experience, Ross will be responsible for global operations at Avigilon including implementation and management of enterprise business systems and corporate capital assets. Most recently, as the senior VP of Novatel Wireless, Ross managed worldwide operations spanning 12 sites and supplying millions of devices for tier-one carriers and retailers worldwide. He established a lean, high-performing team that enabled annual revenue growth from approximately $100 million to over $400 million. Previous to this role, Ross was the VP of Operations for Ericsson Wireless Communications. Joining through the acquisition of Qualcomm's wireless infrastructure business, he quickly became responsible for Ericsson's global CDMA systems business spanning 16 locations worldwide with a workforce of over 2,500 employees. Key accomplishments at Ericsson included a 65 percent reduction in operating expenses over a two-year period. Ross has also held senior management positions at Qualcomm and Spectragraphics.
