Vivint, the largest home automation services company in North America, announced the promotion of Alex Dunn to the office of president. In this new role, Dunn will oversee the strategic direction of the company and will manage Vivint's rapid revenue growth and future expansion plans. He will also direct ongoing initiatives, innovations, and performance benchmarks to help Vivint achieve its short and long-term goals.

"In the seven years Alex has been with the company, we have seen tremendous growth and expansion due in large part to his leadership and vision," said Todd Pedersen, CEO and founder of Vivint. "Alex was a critical component of and often led the charge for our decisions to service the accounts we sold, establish our private-equity and financing structure, rebrand the company and expand into home automation and solar. He's a tremendous asset who has helped lead Vivint to where it is today, and who will continue to lead the company's next stage of innovation."

Dunn was previously COO at Vivint where he oversaw the company's daily operations, financial activities, and business processes. In that position, Dunn integrated newly acquired entities and capabilities into one organization, lowered costs through optimization of people, processes and technologies, and squarely met and overcame operational challenges.

Prior to the Blackstone acquisition, Dunn was instrumental in securing equity partners, including Goldman Sachs, Peterson Partners and Jupiter Partners, and a $690 million credit facility. This funding allowed Vivint to pursue new market opportunities and fuel growth.

"Vivint's entrance to the home automation and solar markets has been a remarkable journey," Dunn said. "To play a role in this growth process has been one of the most rewarding challenges of my career. As president, I look forward to enhancing our already robust product platform as we roll out innovative new services in the future."
