Vemotion Interactive, specialists in live video transmission over low bandwidth connections, announced its technology has been deployed in a fleet of EnterpriseMouchel vehicles in London to assist the provider in managing its client's road network. The video technology, using a GSM mobile network, was particularly useful during the high levels of traffic experienced in London over recent weeks.

Commenting for EnterpriseMouchel, Colin Ridley, Communications and Customer Care Manager said, “We are very pleased to continue our association with Vemotion in providing real time CCTV pictures from our emergency response vehicles back to our control room. Being able to stream live pictures from our emergency vehicles in London certainly enhances the service we provide to our client and ensures that we continue to minimise disruption to the travelling public.”

The Vemotion Encoder provides a highly efficient video compression and transmission that ensures that quality video images can be reliably transmitted over very low bandwidth connections. The software enables EnterpriseMouchel to capture video and send live data of road conditions to help it rapidly and efficiently maintain its client's road network.

“Like other companies involved in the 2012 summer games, we are proud to have been involved via EnterpriseMouchel's fleet and delighted that transport in and around the activities ran so effectively thanks, in part, to the use of our technology,” commented Stewart McCone, Managing Director of Vemotion Interactive Ltd.
